Nets Convert Tyrese Martin To Two-Way; Waive Killian Hayes, Amari Bailey
The Nets converted forward Tyrese Martin to a two-way contract and waived guards Killian Hayes and Amari Bailey, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto and New York Post’s Brian Lewis ( Twitter links ). Brooklyn’s roster stands at the regular season limit of 18 players, with 15 on standard contracts and all three two-way slots filled.
Amari Bailey: Waived by Nets
Bailey was waived by the Nets on Saturday, Evan Barnes of Newsday reports. Bailey played for the Hornets in 2023-24 as a rookie after being selected No. 41 in the NBA Draft. He signed an Exhibit 10 deal with Brooklyn in September and spent training camp attempting to earn a role on the roster.
Brooklyn Nets waive Amari Bailey and Killian Hayes
Bailey signed with Brooklyn on Sept. 21 and appeared in two games as a reserve during the preseason, averaging 2.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 7.1 minutes per contest. Hayes joined the Nets on Sept. 20 and did not appear in any games with Brooklyn.
