Jeffrey Grob, a former Chicago auxiliary bishop who grew up in Cross Plains, Wisconsin, is the 12 th archbishop to lead Catholics in southeast Wisconsin. He was installed as Milwaukee archbishop Tuesday at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.

In front of hundreds of clergy, city leaders and Catholic faithful, Jeffrey Grob opened a new era in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee on Tuesday with a highly choreographed ceremony, ascendant choral music and mementoes dating back as far as 1875. He also brought a dose of Wisconsin humor and wisdom.

Song and prayer filled the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist on Tuesday afternoon as Catholics welcomed their new archbishop.
