Throughout the preseason, Pistons fans were excited to see the revamped squad in action, hoping for similar results for when the games begin to count. On Wednesday, fans got their first peek at the Pistons.

They blew a 12-point lead in the second half and scored just 19 points on 5-of-20 shooting in the fourth quarter of their 115-109 loss to the Indiana Pacers . Worse yet, they were hit with an extremely rare technical foul early in the final frame for having too many players on the floor.

After an intense start, the Pistons fall short to the Pacers in their home opener at Little Caesars Arena, 115-109.

Cade Cunningham scored 28 points, including 18 in the third quarter, but the Detroit Pistons couldn't hang on in the fourth quarter of a 115-109 loss.
