The 83rd Magic City Classic is taking place at Legion Field on Saturday, and fans of Alabama State and Alabama A&M should be prepared for a busy day.

The 2024 Magic City Classic is quickly approaching. The game is the annual football rivalry between Alabama State and Alabama A&M, with the two schools meeting about half way in Birmingham at historic Legion Field.

Alabama State is seeking its third consecutive Magic City Classic victory when it faces Alabama A&M at Legion Field on Saturday.

Actor Omari Hardwick will serve as the 2024 Ambassador for the Magic City Classic. Hardwick is best known for his portrayal as James “Ghost” St. Patrick on the Starz hit television series “Power.” He’s also appeared in movies like Zack Snyder’s ”Army of the Dead,” Tyler Perry’s “For Colored Girls,” and the BET series “Being Mary Jane.”

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — The upcoming Magic City Classic featuring Alabama State and Alabama A&M has been picked up for national television. The game scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 at Legion Field will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU, and will feature two of the top teams in the league standings heading into a bye week for both teams.
