The Flyers and Capitals play on Tuesday, which means Russian rookie Matvei Michkov will face Alex Ovechkin for the first time.

Michkov, 19, says he grew up watching "The Great 8," who at 39 years old is just 40 goals shy of the NHL's all-time record. On Tuesday, he will play against him for the first time.

Michkov, the Philadelphia Flyers rookie forward, will get his first opportunity to see Ovechkin in action in person when the Flyers (1-3-1) host the Washington Capitals (3-1-0) on Tuesday (6 p.m. ET; ESPN+, ESPN, SNW, SNO, SNE, SN1).

The Flyers are trying not to put too much pressure on their young star, but Michkov is earning praise left and right.
