The New Orleans Saints are set to be without their top playmaker, as star wide receiver Rashid Shaheed has officially been placed on IR. This will take Shaheed out for at least the next four games.

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network was the first to report that the New Orleans Saints will officially sign wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their roster on Monday evening. It was previously reported over the weekend that the Saints were bringing the veteran wideout in for a workout on Monday.

The receiver worked out for the organization earlier on Monday. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, he also received interest from the Colts, Commanders and “other” squads.

Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling has agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints, a source confirmed to ESPN.
