Tommy Edman smacked a third inning fastball into the left field seats for his first homer this postseason to help the Los Angeles Dodgers get past the New York Mets for the final ticket to the World Series.

Call Andrew Friedman a prophet. Or at least a great comedian. The Los Angeles Dodgers president of baseball operations joked on Sunday that he said “NLCS MVP or bust” when the team acquired Tommy Edman at the 2024 MLB trade deadline.

Tommy Edman is one of the newest players in the Dodgers' clubhouse, but that didn't stop him from making an MVP-caliber impact against the Mets in the NLCS.
