Tech company Nothing has big plans for 2025, as a leaked email already revealed. But though we knew a new phone announcement was imminent, today’s model is a surprise. Instead of the expected Phone (3), it’s the Phone (3a) series. Here’s why this makes sense.

Nothing is launching a new device, the Phone 3a Series, on March 4. That's a year after the London-based company launched the Phone 2a, which is a budget version of the brand's Phone 2 model released in 2023.

Today, Nothing published its first Quarterly Update video for 2025. In that video, Co-founder Akis Evangelidis revealed that the firm’s next product launch will be for the Phone 3a. Unfortunately, that’s all they shared, so we didn’t get any information on the specs or peeks at the handset’s design.
