Pakistan military courts have sentenced 60 more civilians for taking part in pro-Imran Khan unrest last year, the armed forces said Thursday, after international outcry over earlier announced convictions.

Earlier this week, a Pakistani military court jailed 60 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers for attacking military installations after former Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested in 2023. Among those sentenced were notable figures, including Khan’s nephew and two retired military officers.

Twenty-five people were sentenced to periods of two to 10 years of "rigorous imprisonment" in connection with attacks on the Pakistan military in May 2023, the military's media wing, said on Saturday.
