Nvidia's RTX 5090 GPU is one of the most searched-for GPUs that is not publicly announced by the company but still comes with its fair share of leaks. Some of these are simply due to the sheer scale of the product lineup it is a part of in addition to the number of AIB partners involved and the general excitement around the product.

Nvidia’s RTX 4080 launched with a $1,200 price tag, and many thought that to be too much. The Super variant fixed that problem, pushing the price down to $1,000. Could Nvidia then turn around and bring it back up to $1,200 to $1,500 for the RTX 5080? I hope not. We’ll find out more on January 6 when Nvidia officially announces the graphics card.

It's safe to say a new Nvidia GPU is coming, but new leaks suggest the RTX 5080 will show up before the RTX 5090. Specifically, we could be looking at a mid-January launch for the 80-class card, and the RTX 5090 might not show up until later in the year.

The leaked image flaunts the RTX 5090 in all its glory. The GB202 die powering the RTX 5090 is rumored to be Nvidia's largest consumer-grade GPU since 2018, at 744mm-squared. Some quick measurements from Harukaze suggest that the GPU package size (including the metallic frame) measures roughly 64mm x 59mm or approximately 3,776 square millimeters.
