William Nylander scored two goals and added an assist and the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 on Monday night.

After it looked like 50 goals were in reach last year, William Nylander finished the season with an 11-game goalless drought. He looked himself during the playoffs, but migraines limited him to just four games in the first round before Toronto’s untimely exit.

Auston Matthews scored to extend his goal streak to three games, and Mitch Marner had two assists for the Maple Leafs (4-2-0), who have won four of their past five games. Anthony Stolarz made 32 saves in his fourth straight start.
