A Kalamazoo County, Mich., man hit the jackpot with a $626,575 Fantasy 5 win, thanks to a set of numbers he has played for 25 years.

A burst of confetti seen on the Michigan Lottery app was the cheer that let a Wayne County man know he won over $1 million. The 57-year-old man chose to remain anonymous as he went through the lottery winner claim process for his Lotto 74 jackpot.

“When confetti came up on the screen with the amount of $1.05 million, all I could think was, ‘It’s a miracle! An early Christmas miracle!’ It’s pretty amazing to invest $1 and win $1.05 million,” he said. “Just like that, your financial future is clearer.” The lucky player visited the state lottery’s headquarters to claim his prize.
