Carrie Underwood's decision to perform at Donald Trump 's inauguration ceremony has been both praised and reviled by fans and fellow celebrities.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Lee Greenwood came to Carrie Underwood's defense after some criticized the country star for agreeing to perform at the presidential inauguration on Jan.

Underwood received backlash on social media as soon as her performance at the event was announced. One fan wrote on X: “ Carrie Underwood is [performing] at Trump’s inauguration so I’m blocking her on all apps and boycotting all her music.”

Carrie Underwood has made her first public appearance since performing "America the Beautiful" during Donald Trump's presidential inauguration. The singer returned to work as she joined other "American Idol" judges for the show's taping in Los Angeles ahead of its Season 23 premiere on March 9.

Styled by longtime collaborator Marina Toybina, Underwood wore a sleeveless dove gray draped midi dress by Opificio Modenese for the ceremony. The “Before He Cheats” singer completed her look with ivory leather T-strap Ingiliz pumps and a Noä diamond leaf ring.
