Former Seattle Kraken defenseman Will Borgen has signed a five-year, $4.1M AAV contract extension with the New York Rangers.

The right side of the Rangers defense corps seems set for the foreseeable future. Adam Fox, their top defenseman, is signed through 2027-28; Borgen has his deal through 2029-30; and Braden Schneider is under contract for another season and then becomes a restricted free agent — the 23-year-old is not going anywhere.
