2 Conn. officers shot while serving warrant
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The New Haven Police Department are investigating after a 35-year-old man was killed in New Haven following a shooting and rollover crash on Saturday afternoon. The man was identified as Cedric Goodwin. It happened around 2:10 p.m. after police received multiple calls about an accident near Russell Street and High View Lane.
Ambulance medics then located a wound to the victim’s back as he was being transported to Yale New Haven Hospital. The victim then died due to the extent of his injuries. Officials have now identified the victim as 35-year-old Cedric Goodwin of New Haven.
