A woman from Sebring pleaded guilty in federal court on Tuesday to conspiring to smuggle aliens into the U.S. which resulted in 16 deaths, some children.
A Cuban woman who had come to the United States illegally faces life in prison for her part in a human smuggling operation that led to the deaths of 16 people.
The U.S. Department of Justice said Friday that Yaquelin Dominguez-Nieves, 26, of Sebring pleaded guilty in to conspiring to smuggle migrants into the United States.
