Connor McDavid is back and the blender is out. Ahead of Monday’s game against the Seattle Kraken, Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch made a few changes to his team’s forward lines.

The past six months have been a whirlwind for Edmonton Oilers forward Vasily Podkolzin, who is now a fan-favourite in the Alberta capital.

Podkolzin notched an assist, two shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Capitals.

If the Canucks really felt they had to do something about their logjam at winger — a premise that doesn’t hold much weight today considering Phil Di Giuseppe is back in the top six — they should’ve picked another one of their promising young wingers: Nils Höglander.
