Lindsey Vonn has fallen while on pace for a podium finish at a World Cup super-G on the course that will host skiing at next year's Milan-Cortina Olympics.

Italy's Federica Brignone won the super-G race at Cortina on Sunday, her first World Cup win at the Italian course extending her overall lead, while Lindsey Vonn gave the crowd a scare when crashing out on the third sector but emerged unharmed.

Italy's Sofia Goggia has claimed her first win in over a month in the women's downhill on home soil in Cortina d'Ampezzo on Saturday, while compatriot Federica Brignone took the overall World Cup lead.
