Sources tell SBJ's Tom Friend that WNBA star Caitlin Clark has told the NBA she is disinclined to participate in an All-Star Game three-point contest next month that could include Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Sabrina Ionescu.

Mavericks guard Klay Thompson weighed in the possibility of joining Stephen Curry to face Sabrina Ionescu and Caitlin Clark in a three-point contest during the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend.

Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu in an All-Star weekend shooting competition in San Francisco’s Chase Center? Sounds great, doesn’t it? The Mavericks’ Thompson agrees, or least with the idea of some version of the above-mentioned competition.

Last season, the NBA put an intriguing twist on the three-point contest, a part of the league's All-Star Weekend since 1986, when it decided to add an intersport one-on-one showdown between Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry and New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu.
