Apple is expected to announce new M4 Macs soon. According to a top executive, Apple is preparing "an exciting week of announcements."

Apple has confirmed it will have new Macs soon. But what should we expect, aside from Apple Intelligence everywhere?

Apple has released new iPhones, new Apple Watches, a new iPad mini, and a flotilla of software updates this fall, but Mac hardware has gone unmentioned so far. That's set to change next week, according to an uncharacteristically un-cryptic post from Apple Worldwide Marketing SVP Greg Joswiak earlier today.

We have known that Apple is going start featuring its M4 chip into a new wave of Macs, the only real questions was when. With the iPad mini 7 launching last week via a surprise press release, there was some question about whether new MacBooks would be handled similarly.

That would leave more Mac announcements for later in the week. Among the rumored additions could be a new, redesigned Mac mini that is about as small as an Apple TV streaming box.
