The Golden State Warriors desire an All-Star prior to the trade deadline, but may pass on one who’s available. According to Andscape’s Marc J. Spears,

Golden State sits eighth in the Western Conference standings. If the season ended today, they would have to be in the play-in. The Warriors need to make some moves to make sure that doesn't happen, and Valanciunas gives them some much-needed depth at center.

While the Warriors already acquired Dennis Schroder, that can't be the only trade Golden State makes before the deadline.
