Virgil Thew, the Wisconsin man charged and wanted for three counts of first-degree intentional homicide, has been taken into custody.

The manhunt for the suspect in a triple homicide has been arrested, according to the Juneau County Sheriff's Office. Virgil Thew, 47, was found Thursday and taken into custody in the city of Elroy. The New Lisbon Police Department said the Juneau County Communication Center received a call about a suspicious person in Elroy just before noon.

According to the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office, Virgil Thew, a man wanted in connection to a triple homicide, is in custody. The arrest ends an over week-long manhunt for Thew, who was wanted in connection with the deaths of an adult and two children in New Lisbon.

Virgil G. Thew is charged in the shooting deaths of a woman and two girls in New Lisbon. State and federal authorities continue to search for Thew.
