There was a major change at the top of this week's college football bowl projections with Georgia the No. 1 seed for the playoff and Texas falling.

ESPN's " College GameDay " was in Austin, Texas on Saturday ahead of Georgia's 30-15 victory. The buildup for that highly anticipated matchup contributed to some historic Week 8 ratings for ESPN's "premier college football pregame program."

Texas came into the week having allowed six sacks through its first six games. Georgia totaled seven Saturday night, consistently teeing off against two of the best tackles in college football in Kelvin Banks and Cameron Williams. Georgia also completely mitigated Texas' rushing attack, holding the Longhorns to 1.1 yards per carry.
