The Petaluma Police Department arrested a man allegedly in possession of child pornography. At 2:14 p.m. on Oct. 8, Petaluma police officers pulled over a man, identified as Gabriel Oates, driving on Kenilworth Drive.

Police arrested a man earlier this month on suspicion of possession of child pornography. Gabriel Oates was arrested on Oct. 8, Petaluma police said Monday. Police received a tip related to the illegal material before detectives established probable cause to arrest Oates.

Petaluma police said they made two separate arrests this month of Sonoma County men suspected of possessing child pornography. The first arrest was of a 34-year-old Petaluma man on Oct. 8 on an outstanding warrant related to an investigation of possession of underage pornography,
