Marvel Rivals is already doing additional collaborations with Marvel projects, as it launched with a massive slate of MCU-based outfits. Now it's doing more.

This approach seems to be working out quite nicely, especially given the fact that Marvel Rivals has hit a new peak concurrent player count on Steam with the release of season 1. That's a rare thing, y'know. It's not often a game manages to surpass it's launch figures, so here's hoping the game can keep it up in the coming year.

Insomniac's version of Spider-Man is heading to Marvel Rivals in a collab that ties in with the PC release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

Marvel Rivals players are being treated to an unlikely crossover that brings the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 into the game as a new skin. PlayStation announced the news itself in a post on X/Twitter,

The Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is being added to Marvel Rivals in an unexpected, yet natural, crossover.

A post about the crossover on the official Marvel Rivals Discord server states that the "Advanced Suit 2.0 blends Otto Octavius's science with Peter Parker's genius. Crafted for the toughest battles, it symbolizes Spider-Man's true grit as a hero."

Sony has confirmed that the Advanced suit used in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will soon make its way to Marvel Rivals.

To mark the launch of 'Marvel’s Spider-Man 2!' on PC on January 30, players of the free-to-play third-person hero shooter video game - which launched in December on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S – will be able to don the web-slinger’s Advanced Suit 2.
