Officials have postponed Wednesday night’s Sugar Bowl, a major sporting event in New Orleans, after authorities said a man plowed his truck into a crowd of New Year’s revelers in what is being investigated as a terrorist attack.

The College Football Playoff quarterfinal in New Orleans has been postponed a day after a truck plowed into a New Year’s crowd about a mile away from the site of the Sugar Bowl between Georgia and Notre Dame.

After 15 people were killed and multiple others were injured when a truck drove into crowds of New Year's revelers in New Orleans, the Sugar Bowl, set to be played at the Superdome, has been postponed.
