SpaceX's Starlink internet service continues to make inroads around the globe. Starlink provided Wi-Fi on a Boeing 777 jet for the first time today (Oct. 22), during a Qatar Airways flight from the Qatari capital of Doha to London.

The days of slow, unreliable Wi-Fi on aircraft could be coming to an end with Qatar Airways becoming the first to fit Starlink in a Boeing 777 aircraft.

Qatar Airways is rolling out Starlink internet for free to customers on some planes. Speeds can be 40 times faster than regular airplane WiFi.
