A 49-year-old mother and her special needs son, 26, were killed in an apparent murder-suicide​, according to Warren police.

A woman and her 26-year-old son are dead in what police are calling an apparent murder-suicide in Warren. Authorities say it happened Sunday morning at a house on the 13000 block of Geoffrey Drive. Officers were called to that area around 8:30 a.

Officers entered the residence and found that the woman had fatally shot her 26-year-old special needs child before turning the gun on herself.

The man, 26, had been struggling with a brain tumor while his mom grappled with her own issues and said she needed help and resources, said a relative.
